Force Entry & Ballistic Doors

Remo’s High Security Door
Offers The Highest Protection

A door plays a critical role in life safety and security. We’ve all heard the stories about lives saved behind safe and secure doors. Embassies throughout the world are being challenged daily with security breaches, being targeted by terror groups, and high security doors are mandated.
With the increasing risk of active shootings, high profile institutions, such as government buildings, office complexes and houses of worship are being targeted.

Remo’s High Security Door
Offers The Highest Protection

Government buildings are the most protected and following their own protocols they have implemented security doors and safe rooms throughout their facilities.
Corporate offices never had to worry about being protected. After a fired employee became an active shooter, they had to take precautions to be safe.
Houses of Worship, once places of freedom, have now become targeted. From an open door concept they became a locked door policy.
Security has become paramount everywhere!

Following our School Door concept, installing our high security doors will turn an office, a breakroom, a prayer room, or even a conference room into a safe room with the simple turn of a thumb lock. Active shooter incidents are often unpredictable and evolve quickly. In the midst of chaos, a safe room can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an event.
We all want to be safe. This is where safe rooms become very effective. We spend a great deal of time at work and at our religious institutions and we want to know we are protected

FORCE ENTRY

Virtually every door has some level of force entry protection. The difference between a basic door and our high security door is the degree of protection. New standards have been developed to determine the doors ability to resist force entry attacks for the high risk locations. A basic door only stop light force entry attempts, while a full suite Remo Security Door can stop mobs of people for hours.

There are multiple options, scenarios, and pricing to consider when purchasing a force entry door. There are three standards: ASTM F1233 Standard Test Method for Security Glazing Materials and Systems, ASTM F3038 Standard Test Method for Timed Evaluation of Forced-Entry Resistant Systems, US Department of State SD-SD-01.01 Force Entry and Ballistic Resistance of Structural Systems. The options span from withstanding 10 hammer blows to with standing 50 impacts from a fire axe. There are also timed test, providing protection for 5 to 60 minutes.

We are happy to help you determine what is the correct level of protection for your needs, to ensure your receive the best price, safety, and service.

BULLET RESISTANT

Ballistic Resistant doors go hand and hand with force entry doors because of the high gauge steel material. The most common standard of determining bullet-resistance in doors is the UL 752 Standard for bullet-resistant Equipment certification. We use this standard in all of our doors so you can accurately determine the level of protection you need. No door is ‘bullet-proof’, only bullet resistant. If a attacker shoots the same part of the door multiple times, a bullet will penetrate even the high lest of protection. The levels of protection determine how many shots which caliber the door can withstand.
